Trump drags Murdoch to court in $10 billion Epstein letter fight

Donald Trump filed legal action against The Wall Street Journal on Friday over allegations the publication fabricated correspondence between him and Jeffrey Epstein. The former president targets Rupert Murdoch, News Corp, Dow Jones chief executive Robert Thomson, and journalists Khadeeja Safdar and Joseph Palazzolo in the complaint. Trump demands at least ten billion dollars in compensation for what he describes as defamatory content. The disputed article featured a birthday message accompanied by explicit artwork and Trump's alleged signature from 2003. The president denies creating the note and calls the report fabricated.

The lawsuit claims hundreds of millions of readers viewed the false information across multiple platforms. Dow Jones maintains confidence in their journalistic standards and vows to contest the legal challenge vigorously. Trump announced his intention to compel Murdoch's courtroom testimony through social media channels. The case emerges amid continued scrutiny of Trump's historical connections to the disgraced financier, though no criminal accusations target the former president directly.
