Trump Grants TikTok 75 Days to Work Out US Deal

Donald Trump added 75 more days for TikTok to follow the rules or sell what it has in America. If they miss this chance, the video app might disappear from phones across the country.

"We do not want TikTok to 'go dark.' We look forward to working with TikTok and China to close the Deal," Trump wrote Friday on Truth Social. The Chinese business ByteDance still runs TikTok today.

Trump first pushed back the deadline in January. That extra time would have run out this Saturday. Many Americans felt worried because TikTok shut down briefly before Trump became president again. Around 170 million people use this app in the United States alone.

Trump explained why he made this choice. "The Deal requires more work to ensure all necessary approvals are signed," he shared online. His team talks with four different groups who might buy TikTok, but he keeps their names secret for right at this moment.
