Trump picks Hooters buff Nick Adams as envoy to Malaysia, ignites outcry

Trump picks Australian-turned-American Nick Adams for the top diplomatic post in Malaysia. The self-proclaimed alpha male caught the president's attention back in 2016 when his book Green Card Warrior earned presidential praise on social media. Adams snagged his American citizenship just three years ago and has been riding the Trump wave ever since. The Senate received his nomination papers Wednesday and will decide whether he gets the job. His appointment would boot out current ambassador Edgard Kagan, who Biden put there last year.

The guy churns out books like nobody's business, with six titles under his belt bashing Biden and boosting Trump alongside Winston Churchill. Adams has some serious obsessions, particularly with Hooters restaurant, racking up over 500 tweets about the chain in just four years. Trump even wrote the introduction for Adams' latest effort Alpha Kings, which teaches young guys how to become real alpha males. His political career Down Under went south when fellow party members slammed him for bad behavior and nearly kicked him out of the Liberal Party. Adams currently sits on the Woodrow Wilson Center board thanks to another Trump pick from 2020.

The president calls Adams an amazing patriot and successful businessman whose love for America inspires everyone around him. Adams gushed about spreading Trump's good vibes to Malaysian folks if he lands the gig. The nomination caps off a wild political journey from Australian local politics to potentially representing America abroad. Senate confirmation hearings will determine whether Adams gets to trade his social media megaphone for diplomatic credentials.
