Trump revokes clearance for Biden and his team

On Saturday, President Trump removed security clearances from former President Biden, former VP Harris, and Hillary Clinton. The White House sent orders to all agency chiefs saying they must cancel these clearances immediately. Trump believes these people should not see secret information anymore because it does not help our country.

Many other names appear on Trump's list. These include Antony Blinken, Jacob Sullivan, Lisa Monaco, Mark Zaid, Norman Eisen, Letitia James, Alvin Bragg, Andrew Weissmann, Elizabeth Cheney, Adam Kinzinger, Fiona Hill, Alexander Vindman, and Biden family members. Agency leaders must act fast to cut off any active clearances these people hold. The rules block them from seeing secret files, walking alone in secure buildings, getting special briefings, or checking classified data from any intelligence group.

Trump also wants companies to cancel any clearances they gave these people for private jobs. The government will not allow them to keep access through other channels. The White House made this decision public through an official memo sent to all departments.

Several people on the list worked for the last administration. Blinken ran the State Department, Sullivan led National Security, and Monaco served as the number two person at Justice. Trump's team has not shared any specific reasons why each person lost their clearance beyond the general statement about national interest.
