TSMC Chooses America Over Japan and Germany – Trump Tariffs Win

Taiwan's biggest chip maker has picked America as its favorite spot for new factories. TSMC stunned the tech world when it decided to pump all its money into US plants instead of other countries. The company hit the brakes on building a second factory in Japan and put German projects on hold. President Trump scared TSMC into making this choice by threatening huge taxes on chips from Taiwan. The company fears these tariffs could reach 100 percent and destroy their business.

TSMC already promised to spend over 100 billion dollars building chip plants across America. Their Arizona factory stands as the only place outside Taiwan that makes the most advanced computer chips. The company plans to create even smaller 1.4 nanometer chips at this location before 2030 ends. Major tech giants like Apple and Microsoft have begged TSMC to make their chips inside American borders. The Arizona plant has zero open slots because demand has exploded.

Artificial intelligence has changed everything for chip makers around the world. Companies that work with NVIDIA are also moving their operations to America. TSMC sees the writing on the wall and treats America like their second home country. The fear of Trump's punishment taxes has pushed them to abandon projects in other nations and focus everything on pleasing American customers.
