Twenty young business owners just finished a special tech training program from Liquid Intelligent Technologies. The company runs this program across Eastern Cape and Northwest Province to help young people find jobs. Students learned computer skills and how to start their own companies during the year-long course. They received their graduation certificates at the main office in Johannesburg on June 25. Four student teams presented their business ideas to expert judges during the ceremony.
ProLink won the top prize of R100,000 and free business help for twelve months. This winning team created an app that connects people with trusted contractors around Mthatha. Their digital platform already gave jobs to two new workers since starting up. Okuhle Badli from another team called Otomex Innovations earned a leadership role with Y20 South Africa 2025. She became the Co-Chair for artificial intelligence and digital innovation topics.
Three other teams pitched their creative business ideas to the judges. Otomex Innovations uses computer brains to help people feel better mentally. The Eye of Tech teaches computer skills to people living far from cities. HerdTrace helps female farmers track their animals better using new technology. All students learned about artificial intelligence and computer programming through official training courses.
Every startup team received free computer credits from Microsoft to help build their businesses. The program proves that young South Africans can create amazing technology companies when given proper training. Liquid South Africa wants to give more young people the skills they need for future jobs. These graduates can shape the digital world rather than just watch it happen.
