Uganda Communications Commission held a breakfast meeting Friday to celebrate the successful Uganda Film Festival 2025. Officials from the Ministry of ICT and National Guidance joined festival sponsors and winners at the event. Film school representatives and other industry members also attended the gathering. The meeting recognized everyone who helped make the 12th festival edition successful. UCC wanted to thank all partners for their contributions to Ugandan cinema.

The festival recognized films across many categories such as best feature film and short film. Animation, TV series, documentary and indigenous language films also received awards. Technical achievement awards honored behind-the-scenes work.

Mr. Hassan Saleh manages MultiChoice Uganda and noted the festival growth. The event started as a national competition but became regional. He promised long-term support for the film industry.
Ms. Mariam Ndagire runs a film and performing arts center. She highlighted how the festival helps young filmmakers develop skills. Her school partners with the festival to train new talent. The event creates opportunities for emerging artists to show their work. Increased viewership helps nominated films reach more audiences.
