Uganda Pearls Pummel Sierra Leone In Ten Wicket Rout

Uganda's Victoria Pearls cricket team crushed Sierra Leone during Friday's match at the Kwibuka Women's T20 Tournament. The team won their third straight game after bowling out Sierra Leone for just 32 runs. Kevin Amuge took five wickets and helped destroy the opposing team's batting lineup. Uganda needed only 4.5 overs to score the 33 runs required for victory. The dominant performance keeps Uganda at the top of the tournament standings.

Sierra Leone collapsed quickly after Uganda won the coin toss and chose to bowl first. Amuge bowled four overs and took five wickets for 18 runs in her best performance for Uganda. Sarah Akiteng supported Amuge well and took three wickets without giving up any runs. Sierra Leone managed to score 32 runs before losing all their players after 11.1 overs. The batting team never recovered from the early damage caused by Uganda's bowlers.

Captain Janet Mbabazi scored 19 runs and Esther Iloku added 12 runs during Uganda's easy chase. The opening pair finished the match without losing any wickets. Three new players joined Uganda's team for this game after the coaches made changes. Teddy Oyella made her debut and bowled four overs for just seven runs.
