Uni Boss Lar Taps Nigeria Gambia for Power Play

Nigeria and Gambia want to work together on better government services. University of Abuja Acting Vice-Chancellor Patricia Manko Lar met with Gambian officials about sharing ideas. Permanent Secretary Pateh Jah from Gambia's Public Service Ministry visited several Nigerian government offices. The meeting aimed to help both countries improve how they serve citizens. Leaders discussed ways to make government work more openly and fairly.

Professor Lar said the partnership would help both nations create better policies and reforms. She praised Nigeria's Bureau of Public Service Reforms for changing how the government operates. The acting vice-chancellor noted that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration works hard to improve different government areas. New budget rules give Nigerians hope for better leadership from their president. The university wants to learn from Gambian experts about government improvements.

Professor Philip Dahida runs the Abuja Leadership Center and explained his program helps train African leaders. The center teaches good government practices across the entire continent. Young people from different African countries can learn leadership skills through these programs. The training helps create responsible citizens who can improve their communities. Both countries believe education partnerships will strengthen democracy throughout West Africa.
