University Press Center to Host Ceremony for Grameen Bank Microfinance Book

A ceremony will introduce a new book about small loans and economic dreams Monday at University Press Limited. The event takes place at RH Home Center on Green Road in the capital. Alex Counts wrote the book about Muhammad Yunus and Grameen Bank's impact on global microfinance. Four speakers will discuss the book during the launch event. Md. Rubaiyat Sarwar from Innovation Consulting will lead the ceremony.

Parveen Mahmud serves as former PKSF board member and heads Manusher Jonno Foundation. Md. Fazlul Quader manages Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation operations. Sardar Akhter Hamid runs Grameen Bank as managing director. Alex Counts founded Grameen Foundation in the United States. These experts will share insights about microfinance development.
