Officials confirmed the budget increase represents a 48% jump from the previous year. The University Grants Commission approved Tk187 crore of the total amount.
The remaining Tk110 crore creates a deficit that the university must manage independently. Research receives Tk8.3 crore of the total budget allocation. Student scholarships receive Tk56 crore for supplementary support programs. Salaries and allowances account for Tk128.6 crore of university expenses. Construction of temporary halls receives Tk24.9 crore for student housing needs.
