Uttar Pradesh honors Shiva devotees with aerial flower showers during Sawan month

The Uttar Pradesh administration arranged aerial petal distributions across multiple Shiva temples during the sacred Sawan period. Helicopters released flowers over religious sites in Gorakhpur and Sant Kabir Nagar districts to honor devoted worshippers. The government extended this gesture to various locations throughout the state as tribute to Kanwariyas and Shiva followers. Multiple temples received these ceremonial flower drops from aircraft during Sawan Shivratri celebrations. The initiative aimed to recognize the steadfast devotion of thousands gathering at these holy places.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath conducted Rudrabhishek ceremonies at the historic Mansarovar Temple in Andhiyari Bagh earlier that day. He used water, cow milk, and sugarcane juice while offering bilva leaves, lotus blooms, and durva grass to the deity. Gorakhnath Temple priests guided the ritual while reciting sacred verses from Rudrashtadhyayi texts. The Chief Minister completed havan and aarti ceremonies accompanied by Vedic chants. He sought divine blessings for health, wealth, and peace for all state residents.
