Valu and Infinity juice up Egypt’s EV dreams with BNPL

An Egyptian fintech company named Valu is teaming up with Infinity, a big renewable energy and EV charging firm, to help people finance electric car stuff. The deal, announced at a recent electric vehicle expo, lets customers use flexible payment plans to buy home chargers and pay for public charging sessions. Infinity runs the largest charging network in the country with over two hundred fifty stations.

The partnership offers zero-interest loans with no down payment for home chargers over six months. People can also pay later for public charging through an app, with a chance to get some cashback. Valu is even running a contest where the biggest spender at the event could win a trip to a World Cup soccer match. Company leaders from both sides said the goal is to remove cost barriers and speed up the adoption of cleaner transportation in Egypt.
