Vampire hero switches up day and night in new RPG

Rebel Wolves showed off their new vampire game called The Blood of Dawnwalker. The developers worked with Bandai Namco to reveal how players will fight and explore. Gamers can see the main character Coen battle enemies as both human and vampire. The footage came from a pre-beta version running on PC without any touch-ups. The game already looks really good even though it needs more work.

Players control Coen who changes completely between day and night. During daylight hours he fights with swords and magic runes carved into his skin. The magic hurts him each time he uses these bloody powers. When darkness falls Coen becomes much stronger with vampire claws and shadow teleporting skills. He must drink blood constantly or risk losing control and killing important people.

The combat works like For Honor but uses four directions instead. Players need to watch enemy attacks carefully and block at the right moments. Perfect timing lets them counter-attack and defeat opponents with style. The game takes place in a busy medieval city that hides vampire secrets after sunset. Coen has thirty days to rescue his family from danger.

The developers made every choice matter in the story. Main quests and side missions blend together without clear differences. Bad decisions push the narrative forward in new directions rather than ending the game. Players can challenge powerful vampire leaders early but these fights will be extremely difficult. The Blood of Dawnwalker launches in 2026 for computers and modern gaming consoles.
