Vazrazhdane says Bulgaria’s broken

Vazrazhdane leader Kostadin Kostadinov warned that Sofia faces financial collapse with virtually nothing left to liquidate beyond nuclear and thermal power facilities, several transportation hubs, the national lottery, and government real estate. The nationalist politician expressed alarm over Brussels' criticism of Bulgarian fiscal management, particularly schemes surrounding the Burgas refinery that threaten national stability.

Kostadinov drew parallels to Greece's 2008 crisis, noting Athens possessed substantial assets during its meltdown while Bulgaria's cupboard stands nearly bare. The opposition figure accused the ruling parties of preparing wholesale disposal of remaining state holdings to plug gaping budgetary shortfalls that leave treasury coffers dangerously depleted.
