Vetrimaaran praises Suresh’s chill diplomacy, not just his new car

Director Vetrimaaran praised his former assistant Suresh Rajakumari at a pre-release event for the new film Sirai. He highlighted Rajakumari's fairness and skill with people, calling him a balanced and ethical person who stands by his principles. Vetrimaaran credited these traits for Rajakumari's effective direction of the police drama, which stars Vikram Prabhu and newcomer L K Akshay Kumar. The film's producer, S S Lalit Kumar of Seven Screen Studios, showed his satisfaction by gifting Rajakumari a car.

Vetrimaaran shared a story to illustrate the new director's conflict resolution style. He mentioned an incident where a group of local boys attacked an office worker. Instead of escalating the matter to Vetrimaaran, which could have caused more trouble, Rajakumari personally mediated. He took the employee to meet the attackers and talked the problem out peacefully, preserving neighborhood relations. Vetrimaaran also expressed his approval of the finished film's pacing, a tough feat for a procedural story. The plot comes from director Tamizh, inspired by his own experiences.

The technical team includes music director Justin Prabhakaran, cinematographer Madesh Manickam, and editor Philomin Raj. Stunt choreography is by Prabhu, with Arun K and Manikandan serving as executive producers. Shooting locations covered Chennai, Sivagangai, and Vellore. The cast features actresses Anantha and Anishma alongside the lead actors. The film is set for a late December release.
