Vienna College Namugongo held its first ever alumni dinner on Saturday June 21st 2025. Former students came from everywhere to join the special celebration at their old school. The dinner was part of the college's 25th anniversary events that have been happening all year long. Old friends met again after many years apart and shared stories from their school days. Everyone felt excited to be back at the place where they learned and grew up.
Several graduates spoke during the evening about creating a formal alumni group. Mr. Okello Baldwin works as Chief Technical Officer at Hamilton Telecom and told everyone how important it is for former students to stay connected. Professor Rachel Mindra Katoroogo teaches at Makerere University Business School and asked alumni to help their local communities. Mr. Larry Okutho said the dinner would bring new energy to the alumni community. Alex Busingye called the event a way for graduates to show they still care about Vienna College.
The night was full of happy memories and laughter as people remembered their teenage years. Everyone joined together for the famous jaba dance that brought back feelings of school spirit. Mr. Isaiah Daniel Juuko leads the alumni association and thanked graduates around the world for supporting the dinner. Principal Mr. Kakiika Mohammed said he felt proud of how former students continue supporting their school. The evening finished with awards for the best dressed man and woman who won prizes from Brovard Sands Beach Hotel.
