Virtua Fighter 5 REVO launches October 30 with Dural, cross-play, and a new mode

SEGA will release Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. on October 30 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles. Nintendo Switch 2 users must wait for a later release date. The company opens closed beta registration for early September testing across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Steam platforms. Players who join the beta receive special recognition through an exclusive game title. Console participants must create SEGA accounts before accessing the test period.

The standard edition costs $19.99 while the World Stage 30th Anniversary Edition sells for $49.49. Pre-orders grant access to Genesis customization items for all nineteen base characters. The anniversary package contains additional content packs and commemorative materials. Individual downloadable content becomes available separately at launch for interested buyers.

New features enhance the fighting experience through cross-platform play and improved netcode technology. World Stage mode arrives as free content, providing single-player campaigns with customization rewards. Dural joins the roster as paid downloadable content but faces tournament restrictions. Previous owners receive discounted upgrade paths or automatic updates depending on their platform.
