Visu Spectrogram Lets You Spy On Every Sound

Tritik launched Visu, a new plugin that shows audio as visual pictures on computer screens. Musicians and sound engineers can watch their audio transform into colorful moving images that reveal hidden details about sound. The software works on Mac and Windows computers through different audio formats.

Visu displays sound as a spectrogram, which looks like a rainbow chart that moves across the screen. The plugin offers two viewing modes for different levels of detail. The enhanced mode uses special math called time-frequency reassignment to make sharper pictures of sound waves.

Users can freeze the display to study specific moments or save pictures as PNG files. The software lets people adjust how much detail they see and choose between different measurement scales. People can pick from more than 40 color schemes to customize how their audio looks.

The interface can resize to fit any screen size and supports high-resolution displays. Musicians can move their mouse around to see exact frequency information at any point. The plugin helps people explore sound elements like transients, pitch changes, noise patterns and harmonics through visual feedback.
