VSL drops four new brass packs, Wagner tuba steals the show

A music software company just dropped four new brass instruments. Vienna Symphonic Library added Single Packs for a Wagner Tuba, a Contrabass Trombone, an Euphonium, and a Contrabass Tuba to their Synchron Special Brass series. These virtual instruments, recorded at their large Synchron Stage, work inside the Synchron Player and feature a performance-focused interface called Flow View GUI. This release brings the total available Special Brass packs to ten, with one more ensemble pack planned for the future.

The current lineup includes various trumpets, a cornet, a flugelhorn, and the new low brass additions. Each instrument comes in two versions, Standard and Full, with the Full version offering more microphone mix options. The software is compatible with Windows and Mac systems in all major plugin formats. The standard packs cost about ninety Euros each, with full versions around one hundred fifty Euros, though introductory discounts are available for a limited time after the December release.
