WAEC drops WASSCE scores and warns of scam

WAEC just released test results for students who took the 2025 private WASSCE exams. Out of 12,452 test takers, about 5,269 were boys and 7,998 were girls. Nearly 738 students who signed up never showed up for the tests. Students can check their scores right away on the WAEC website by typing in their test number and password.

The testing group found cheating during tests and grading. They held back scores for 34 students in certain subjects and completely blocked results for 43 others until they finished investigating. WAEC warns everyone about fake offers to change test scores for cash payments through phone money transfers. The testing group makes clear that their score database stays secure, and all results can be checked.

Schools and companies should always double-check any test scores shown to them directly with WAEC. This verification can happen by contacting WAEC offices or using the online checking service. The statement came out last Thursday, March 28. Anyone wanting to verify results should visit the official website at waecgh.org.
