Weappy Studio previews The Eternal Life of Goldman for PC and consoles

Weappy Studio presented The Eternal Life of Goldman during the THQ Nordic Digital Showcase, revealing a 2D action-platformer that features complete hand animation. The visual presentation rivals other acclaimed titles like Cuphead, which also used manual animation techniques. Developers have not announced a specific launch date for the upcoming release. The showcase provided additional story details through dialogue between a mother and her child. Goldman appears as a character obsessed with discovering an ultimate treasure through constant map study.

The narrative trailer reveals family tension as the mother expresses frustration about following Goldman's quest. Her anger escalates while discussing Goldman's consuming search for riches. The young boy becomes frightened by his mother's reaction during their conversation. Goldman descends into a dark underground area as the story unfolds. The game must deliver strong platforming mechanics to match its impressive visual presentation and succeed like other hand-animated titles.
