Weekend drama ratings heat up as new shows debut

Television audiences witnessed intensifying competition among weekend programming on Saturday as multiple series reached new viewership milestones while fresh offerings made their debut.

KBS 2TV launched Last Summer, a romantic series featuring Lee Jae Wook and Choi Sung Eun, which attracted 2.7 percent of households nationwide during its opening installment. JTBC's The Dream Life of Mr. Kim pulled in 3.2 percent for its third broadcast. Meanwhile, KBS 2TV's Our Golden Days dominated Saturday evening across all programming categories with 13.6 percent viewership.

Two established dramas achieved their strongest Saturday performance yet. Typhoon Family on tvN captured the top position within its broadcast window at 8.2 percent of national viewers. SBS's Would You Marry Me climbed to 7.4 percent, marking its best Saturday showing since launch. The ratings data came from Nielsen Korea's nationwide measurements tracking audience engagement across competing networks on Nov. 1.
