Marriage is perhaps still a very important part of traditional Zimbabwean culture. It used to be seen as a sacred institution that brought two families together. But now, things are changing.

In modern times, more and more Zimbos have been turning away from traditional values and embracing Western culture. As a result, the idea of marriage has shifted from being something special to just another business contract. Young people no longer see marriage as a long-term commitment and instead view it as a way to get money or other benefits.

This shift away from traditional values is why many Zimbabweans no longer value marriage. They don't think of it as something sacred, but rather just an agreement between two people made with the expectation of certain rewards.
