Wike says clean water for Abuja towns matters a lot to President Tinubu. He traveled to China on May 1 to talk with CGCOC Group about water projects. The trip came after he signed papers with the company to bring water to areas outside the main city. Tinubu had promised city water along Airport Road during his second year leading office. He also ordered clean water for the smaller towns around Abuja.
The president included money for these towns in the National Budget, which has already been passed. More cash awaits in the FCT Budget sent to lawmakers. Work will soon start in Bwari, Karu, and parts of Kubwa. The same company handling the Greater Abuja Water Supply will do this work, too. Wike thanked Tinubu for backing projects that help people with roads, health, and schools.
