Wike Says Tinubu Is Boss No Secret Cabal

Nigeria's Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike rejected claims that secret power groups control President Bola Tinubu. Wike spoke at a major lecture event at Obafemi Awolowo University on Thursday. He said Tinubu shows real courage and runs the country without hidden influence from others. The minister praised Tinubu for making tough decisions that past presidents avoided. He argued that no cabal exists under the current leadership.

Wike said former presidents like Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan lacked the strength to remove fuel subsidies. He credited Tinubu with stopping fraud that allowed many people to steal from the subsidy program. The minister believes unifying exchange rates was another brave move previous leaders refused to make. He told the audience that these changes prove Tinubu makes his decisions independently. Wike emphasized that the president takes charge of government operations.

The minister acknowledged Nigeria has struggled for sixty years since independence. He said many problems divide the country but believes it can still succeed with proper leadership. Wike stressed that rebuilding trust between different groups remains essential for progress. He urged all citizens to work hard rather than wait for miraculous changes. The minister wanted people to leave achievements for future generations instead of creating more problems.
