The Women's Choice Awards Africa threw its seventh edition and handed out recognition to a bunch of African women pushing leadership and inclusion across different fields. Lady Dentaa Amoateng grabbed an award for diaspora work, while Prof. Elsie Effah Kaufmann from the University of Ghana got legacy honors in STEM stuff, and Sarah Femi Asante scored recognition for her hospitality business leadership.
Other winners covered pretty much every sector you can think of. Dr. Fatma Odaymat landed the transformational leader of the year, Judith Adjobah Blay from Ghana National Gas Company got the energy leadership trophy, and Chief Fire Officer Daniella Ntow Sarpong earned props for emergency response excellence. Regina Honu from Soronko Academy and Roberta Annan from African Fashion Foundation both got celebrated for their innovation and creative empowerment work.
The ceremony spread love across finance, legal services, healthcare, media, and tech with winners like Zenith Bank for SME banking, JLD & MB Legal Consultancy for commercial law practice, and Phoenix Health Insurance for healthcare financing. Nana Yaa Serwaa Sarpong from EIB Network and Joana Gyan Cudjoe from Golden Empire Legacy also took home awards for media leadership and change-making, respectively.
