Women in Bulawayo Push for Entrepreneurship Growth and Global Reach

Businesswomen from different sectors came together Thursday for a special meeting about trade and growth. The Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa Federation of Women brought these entrepreneurs to Bulawayo. They wanted to talk about building stronger companies that could sell products across borders. The women shared stories about their experiences and learned from each other. This gathering helped them make new connections for future business deals.

One woman said the event made her feel excited about growing her small company into something bigger. Another participant talked about how important it was to create systems that let businesses run without the person there all the time. A third businesswoman mentioned learning about doing work from far away places. She felt challenged to step outside her comfort zone and try new things. The women left feeling ready to take on bigger projects.

Edna Makurazhizha leads the COMESA Federation of Women and spoke about why women need to start their businesses. She pushed the Bulawayo women to think about selling their products to other countries. The organization started seven years ago and has grown to cover 21 different nations. These women are not just making companies but creating better futures for themselves and their communities. The federation keeps helping female entrepreneurs build stronger businesses across the region.
