Xabi Under Fire Over Mbappe Reliance at Real

Xabi Alonso takes over Real Madrid with one major problem. The team depends far too much on Kylian Mbappe for goals. The French striker scored 43 times last season across all games. He netted more than 31 percent of every goal Madrid made. His importance becomes even clearer when he misses games.

Madrid struggles badly without their star player. The team scored 2.1 goals per game with Mbappe playing. That number fell to just 1.5 goals when he sat out four matches. Other attackers like Vinicius and Rodrygo could not fill the gap. Only Valverde managed to step up during those difficult games.

Alonso must find ways to spread the scoring around. He needs other players like Bellingham and Endrick to contribute more. The new manager wants to build attacks that work even when Mbappe has bad days. His first real test comes at the Club World Cup. Everyone will watch to see if he can reduce the team's dependence on one player.
