XenForo questions get sorted out nicely

XenForo offers questions as a special thread type for community members. People ask their questions in the first post, which stays at the top of every page. Other users write answers below it. When they have the right permissions, everyone can vote on these answers.

Questions start as unsolved until someone picks the best answer. Either the person who asked or a forum helper can mark one reply as the correct solution. After that happens, both the question and answer appear together at the top. The thread then shows up as solved in the forum list.

Users find question forums laid out similar to regular discussion areas in XenForo. The main difference comes from the special filters at the top. These let people find unsolved questions, questions they asked themselves, or places where they posted answers. The system adds icons next to solved questions to help tell them apart.

XenForo lets communities place question threads inside dedicated question forums. They also work inside mixed forums that accept various thread types. This gives website managers many options for setting up help areas where members can support each other through questions and answers.
