Yami Gautam stuns KJo and Alia with powerhouse 'Haq' act

Karan Johar is declaring himself a lifelong fan after watching Yami Gautam's new film. The filmmaker recently admitted her performance moved him to tears, stating he hasn't been that affected by an actor's work in a long while. He expressed regret about not seeing the empowering courtroom drama in a theater.

He posted a social media review praising Gautam's work in the movie Haq. Johar called her brilliant and outstanding, highlighting her silent moments and final courtroom speech as a total master class. He credited director Suparn Verma for avoiding excessive drama and letting the characters' quiet strength drive the story.

Johar also singled out co-star Emraan Hashmi, labeling this role as the actor's career best performance. He said Hashmi portrayed an entitled husband so convincingly that the audience hates the character but loves the acting. The filmmaker applauded producers Vineet Jain and Amrita Pandey from Jio Studios for backing the brave project.

He complimented writer Reshu Nath for crafting a solid and poignant narrative. Johar finished his note by formally announcing he is now a permanent member of Yami Gautam's fan club. This follows similar praise from actress Alia Bhatt, who also called herself an eager fan of Gautam's work recently.
