Yangon minister rains K171m on ISPE queens after Champions League run

Union Minister Jeng Phang Naw Taung celebrated ISPE Women's Football Club's AFC Women's Champions League achievements at the Yangon Region Sports and Physical Education Institute yesterday. Officials from various departments joined the recognition ceremony at the Union Hall in Kyaikkasan, Tamway Township. Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein presented a K10 million honorary award to the minister during the event. Additional contributions from sports federations and donors raised the total recognition amount to K171.5 million for the successful team. The minister delivered congratulatory remarks before accepting the financial tribute on behalf of the football club.

Sports facility inspections followed the ceremony as officials examined basketball courts and volleyball venues in Tamway Township. The delegation later attended the tennis competition opening ceremonies at Theinbyu Tennis Court before observing active matches. Afternoon activities focused on foreign hotel operations throughout Yangon as the minister evaluated guest services and safety protocols. Hotel operators received guidance about ministry regulations and international service standards during the comprehensive review process.
