Youth Spiritual Summit in Varanasi kicks off with focus on drug-free India initiative

The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports launched a spiritual summit at Varanasi's Rudraksh International Cooperation and Convention Centre on Saturday. Officials designed the two-day event around the concept of drug-free youth building a developed India. The program brings together organizations that focus on addiction recovery from across the nation. Young participants praised the timing and potential impact of the gathering.

Over 500 delegates representing more than 100 spiritual and social groups will attend sessions through July 20. The summit features four main discussions covering addiction's psychological effects, network dismantling strategies, community activism, and national planning. Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla and multiple federal ministers will participate. Organizers scheduled the conclusion to release the Kashi Declaration, which outlines action steps for eliminating drug abuse nationwide. The Ganga River setting combines traditional values with modern policy discussions.
