The streaming service refuses to ban artificial intelligence completely but demands creators use these tools responsibly. Channels must demonstrate genuine creative input through original commentary, analysis, or storytelling to qualify for monetization. YouTube reviewers will examine whether producers add significant value rather than simply assembling automated content. Creators who rely on compilation videos or slideshow presentations without personal involvement face increased scrutiny during approval processes. The platform emphasizes rewarding human creativity over mechanical content generation.

Basic eligibility requirements remain unchanged for creators seeking monetization approval. Channels still need 1,000 subscribers plus either 4,000 annual watch hours or 10 million short-form video views within 90 days. Meeting these numerical benchmarks alone will not guarantee acceptance into the partner program anymore. YouTube plans more rigorous reviews to verify authentic content creation before approving revenue sharing. The company wants creators who demonstrate originality and substance rather than repetitive mass production.
