ZANU-PF hands US$220 000 to Mashonaland West affiliates

Eight ZANU-PF provincial affiliates from Mashonaland West received $220,000 through the Presidential Empowerment Fund during a ceremony on Friday at Kutama Grounds in Zvimba. Dr Paul Tungwarara, Special Investment Advisor to the President, emphasized community empowerment as a government priority. The funding serves as a revolving facility designed to strengthen party structures and advance Vision 2030 objectives.

VaPostori for ED and Children of War Veterans each obtained $50,000, while six other groups received $20,000 apiece. Recipients include Pastors for ED, Vendors for ED, Boyz DzaMdara, and Health Ambassadors for ED. Officials emphasized the importance of proper fund management and warned against the misuse of resources.

The program aims to boost empowerment projects across the province while encouraging beneficiaries to generate additional income for broader community benefit.
