Zanu Pf picks Tagwirei for ZANU-PF Central Committee

Business leader Kudakwashe Tagwirei might join the ZANU-PF Central Committee soon. Every member of the Harare Provincial Coordinating Committee voted to add him. They passed this decision at their Monday meeting at party headquarters. The group discussed many important local and national matters that day.

ZANU-PF Harare Provincial Chairperson Godwills Masimirembwa announced the vote results. He said current Central Committee members proposed Tagwirei because he shows great leadership skills. The request goes next to party Secretary General Obert Mpofu for review. Tagwirei already belongs to the party as a member from Harare.

Andy Mhlanga spoke up about bringing successful businesspeople into party leadership. As Deputy Secretary for Economic Affairs, he thinks entrepreneurs like Tagwirei help reach government goals for 2030. All sections of the party backed the idea based on Tagwirei's history of supporting ZANU-PF projects. His business experience could boost economic plans.

The committee also picked Tsitsi Tawomhera to run in special elections for Glenview South. Members also looked at punishment actions against several suspended individuals. These topics came up during the same Monday gathering where they decided on Tagwirei. The party continues preparing for upcoming political challenges across the region.
