Zanu-PF tells fund abusers - repay by 2026 or else

A presidential advisor issued a direct warning to individuals and groups who misused state empowerment funds. Paul Tungwarara stated that beneficiaries of various presidential programs must return any diverted money by 2026 or face serious consequences. He delivered this ultimatum during a launch event in Binga for a new constituency fund, emphasizing the administration's goal of inclusive development.

At the same gathering, Tungwarara distributed twenty-five thousand dollars to each of six constituencies in Matabeleland North. District chairs received vehicles and operational cash, while a separate twenty-thousand-dollar revolving fund was allocated to local women. The event also included the distribution of food hampers to vulnerable groups ahead of the holiday period. Senior party officials, including national commissar Munyaradzi Machacha, highlighted ongoing government projects in the province while acknowledging existing infrastructure challenges.
