New Leader Coming for Uganda's Top Courts.
Uganda wants someone new to help make its courts better. The person they picked is called Justice Flavian Zeija. He went to talk with important people in Parliament who needed to check if he would be good at the job.
If the Parliament likes Justice Zeija, he will become a very important judge. He will help ensure that all the other courts work well and that people are treated fairly when they have problems.
The President of Uganda, Mr. Museveni, asked Justice Zeija and many other judges to meet with Parliament today. Another person called Justice Muzamilu Kibedi came as well. He might become a judge in the highest court.
More judges need to talk with Parliament today. Eight want to work in the second-biggest court, and twenty-one want to work in other courts around Uganda.
After Justice Kibedi finished talking with Parliament, he said something important. He promised to ensure that everyone would be treated fairly when they came to court with problems.
