Zen 5 Midrange AMD Ryzen AI Max Pro 385 Wows Fans

AMD released benchmark results for the Ryzen AI Max Pro 385 processor after months of waiting. The mid-range chip scored 2489 points during single-core testing and reached 14136 points across multiple cores on Geekbench. Most computers use the flagship Pro 395 model with 16 cores and 32 threads instead of cheaper options. The Pro 385 offers eight cores and 16 threads running at 3.6 GHz base speed with boost clocks reaching 5 GHz. HP built the ZBook Ultra G1a laptop around this processor for mobile workstation users.

The Radeon 8050S graphics card comes built into the Pro 385 processor for gaming and creative work. This integrated GPU falls eight compute units behind the more powerful Radeon 8060S found on Pro 395 systems. Gamers can play titles at 1080p resolution with smooth frame rates using this graphics solution. The processor delivers 50 NPU TOPS and over 100 total TOPS for artificial intelligence tasks. Laptops and mini computers with Pro 385 chips should cost under 1500 dollars compared to 2000 dollars for Pro 395 machines.
