GPD Win 5 handheld rivals RTX 4060 using AMD's Ryzen AI MAX+ 395 chip

GPD introduces the Win 5 gaming handheld as the first device powered by AMD's Ryzen AI MAX+ 395 Strix Halo processor. The flagship chip features 16 Zen 5 cores with 32 threads paired with the Radeon 8060S integrated graphics unit. Benchmark tests reveal the processor achieves 771 single-core and 12,678 multi-core points in CPU-Z evaluations. The system scored 30,495 points in Cinebench R23 testing. Time Spy Graphics results showed 9,680 points, approximately 15 percent below RTX 4060 performance levels.

The handheld operates at a 70-watt thermal design power limit and reaches temperatures between 70 and 80 degrees Celsius during gaming sessions. Black Myth Wukong runs at over 80 frames per second on the device. The Win 5 weighs 570 grams and features a 7-inch 120Hz display. An external 5170mAh battery pack adds 340 grams to the total weight. The package features a docking station with USB, HDMI, and Ethernet connectivity options.
