Zifa launches women's football growth strategy

The Zimbabwe Football Association has introduced a wide-ranging plan aimed at boosting female participation in the sport while developing talent pipelines and increasing commercial opportunities nationwide. Vice President Loveness Mukura described the framework as creating systematic advancement routes for girls beginning at age eight through the under-20 level, establishing professional career trajectories in the process.

Core elements address team development through qualified coaching staff, improved instructor training aligned with continental and international standards, and organized performance initiatives. The association intends to reconstruct youth infrastructure via licensed academy systems, expanded community programs, and enhanced scholastic pathways.

The Zimbabwe Women's Premier Soccer League has established a five-person interim panel focused on marketing and sponsorship acquisition to elevate the competition's profile and attract financial backing for continued expansion across the country.
