Zim Grain Goldmine Free Seeds for Farmers

Zimbabwe aims to put its farm goods on the world map through special labels. A meeting about these product markers started yesterday in Victoria Falls. Foreign Affairs Minister Amon Murwira will stand in for President Mnangagwa at the event today. The president will attend a funeral for Air Marshal Mandeya in Harare instead.

Local items like Mazowe Oranges and Mutoko Tomatoes could earn more money with these official marks. Justice official Vimbai Nyemba says the labels help rural communities profit from their special goods. Zimbabwe plans to join a group of 55 nations that protect each other's local products. This move lets farmers stop others from copying their unique items.

Justice Minister Ziyambi wants to update laws that protect new ideas and designs. The government believes these changes will help creators sell their work worldwide. This fits with national plans to grow business through new partnerships. The meeting happens as Zimbabwe tries to save traditional farming methods.
