Zimbabwe and Brazil Discuss BRICS Membership Steps

Zimbabwe officials met with Brazilian diplomats to talk about joining BRICS. The Herald newspaper reported the discussions between the two countries. Foreign Minister Amon Murwira held talks with Brazilian Ambassador Vilmar Rogeiro Coutinho in Harare. Both leaders reviewed current partnerships between their nations. They also planned future work projects together.

Brazil gave Zimbabwe advice about BRICS membership steps. The ambassador explained what Zimbabwe needs to do to join the group. Murwira said Brazil shows strong support for developing countries working together. He praised Brazil's approach to helping other nations grow. The minister said this matches President Mnangagwa's goals for global cooperation.

Agriculture became a main topic during their meeting. Brazil has advanced farming technology that Zimbabwe wants to learn about. The two countries see farming as important for Zimbabwe's development plans. Murwira said Brazil's agricultural expertise fits Zimbabwe's needs perfectly. Both sides want to expand their farming partnership.

Ambassador Coutinho promised Brazil would help Zimbabwe with many different projects. He said the two countries can work together on global issues. The diplomat expressed hope that Zimbabwe's BRICS application will succeed soon. He believes the membership process will finish with good results. Brazil supports Zimbabwe's goal to join the economic group.

Vietnam recently became the tenth BRICS partner nation. Zimbabwe hopes to follow Vietnam's path to membership. The talks show progress toward Zimbabwe joining BRICS. Both countries remain committed to strengthening their relationship. The partnership could benefit Zimbabwe's economic development goals.
