Zimbabwe entrepreneur, Believe Guta, bags fake doctorate in wild Goa ceremony

Believe Guta burst onto Zimbabwe's political scene back in 2018 when he demanded Parliament create a Youth Commission. The Kadoma native pushed hard for youth empowerment laws that would actually mean something. His bold move caught everyone's attention and made him a household name across the country. The entrepreneur and author wasn't content with just making noise about change. He wanted real action that would transform young lives throughout Zimbabwe.

Cambridge Digital University just handed Guta an honorary doctorate degree during a ceremony in Goa, India. The recognition came from his groundbreaking work and his recent book about legal challenges facing entrepreneurs. Engineer Edzai Kachirekwa also received the same honor at the event. The university partnered with India Research Centre to celebrate both men's achievements. Guta's book offers practical advice for business owners navigating complex legal systems.

The determined activist runs multiple ventures including Balwearie Holdings and Big Brains Legal Aid Trust. His Begu Holds Foundation has trained countless young people since 2008 in business skills and leadership. Major figures like Steve Hall from America and local icons have supported his programs. Guta also made waves in 2023 when he filed a complaint against High Court Justice Webster Chinamora. His arrest followed shortly after, but the judge eventually resigned when President Mnangagwa appointed a tribunal.
