The Zimbabwe Mining Development Corporation has formalized an Integrity Pledge with the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission, reinforcing its commitment to ethical governance. ZMDC General Manager Blessed Chitambira stated that integrity forms the foundation of the organization, emphasizing the need to do what is right even without supervision. He described the pledge as a call to action for employees to embody honesty, accountability, and respect.
Board Chair Peter Chimboza framed the commitment as a promise to uphold personal ethics and contribute to societal well-being, encouraging staff to become role models through ethical leadership. This initiative is part of a broader anti-corruption campaign that has seen over 27,000 similar pledges signed across the public and private sectors.
