Zubimendi thrills London as Arsenal sink Forest, Postecoglou reeling

Arsenal defeated Nottingham Forest as Martin Zubimendi netted his debut goals for the club. Ange Postecoglou experienced defeat during his inaugural match as Forest manager. The new Forest boss had previously failed to secure victory against Mikel Arteta across four encounters, recording three losses and one draw. Noni Madueke impressed on Arsenal's right flank while replacing the injured Bukayo Saka. His corner deliveries created consistent problems for the visiting defense.

Chris Wood redirected a Madueke corner toward the penalty area edge, where Zubimendi struck a deflected volley past goalkeeper Matz Sels for the opener. Morgan Gibbs-White missed Forest's best opportunity when his shot sailed wide during a counterattack. Eberechi Eze provided the assist for Viktor Gyokeres to score Arsenal's second goal early in the second half. Leandro Trossard crossed for Zubimendi to complete his brace with a header. Martin Odegaard departed with an apparent shoulder problem during the first period.
