Gauteng law enforcement officials have called on residents to maintain cooperation with authorities following a weeklong Anti-Gang Unit campaign that produced 15 arrests and substantial seizures beginning November 3, 2025. Operations across Westbury, Reiger Park, Mapetla, Boksburg and central Johannesburg targeted individuals connected to unlicensed weapons possession, ammunition violations, narcotic offenses and interference with police work. Officers confiscated a Glock 19 pistol with ammunition, 423 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 218 grams of methcathinone, 345 mandrax tablets and currency during the enforcement sweep.
