Erm no, a music production course it's a sheer waste of money—it's a Mickey Mouse degree. You are better off learning how to code or getting yourself an MBA. You can then perhaps utilize your MBA to work for a record label whilst learning the ins and outs of showbiz. However, if you take the route of computer science you can, later on, learn to make audio software plug-ins or work for a company that does. Yeah, stuff like that is much better you know: it's a sound investment, no pun intended.

Now on a more serious note, the thing is Mickey Mouse courses are okay for people who are wealthy: people who were born with a silver spoon up their ass. But if mom and dad have always been barely making ends meet, including yourself, well, isn't it better to do somewhat that gives you a high probability of stable income? Of course, you can do music on the side that's fine. As long as you have a proper job or you are self-employed doing whatever.
