Turusi, hokoso

slang Turusi, hokoso

turusi

means a personal affair or private concern that you are not required to share with other people if you don't want to. In a nutshell, think of it as something like privacy. The second meaning of turusi refers to an objective piece of information such as a fact or something like a trade secret.

For example, most of the time Zimbos will use this word as follows:
"Sha, mind your turusi"
And that means: you should mind your own business and drink more water instead of being a nosy person who wants to know everything about everyone's personal gwans.

Here is an example of the second meaning:
"Vanhu vanobvunzisa kwandino hodha zvinhu manje ini handibuditse turusi rangu kune povho."
And that means: I am not going to discuss trade secrets about how I get my stock at reasonable prices, lest they run me out of business by figuring out my reliable sources of supply.

Note: Another synonym for turusi is hokoso which only means the same thing as the first given explanation in this post.
