Aamir Khan, Hirani set to roll Dadasaheb Phalke biopic

Chandrashekhar Pusalkar confirmed that Aamir Khan will portray his grandfather Dadasaheb Phalke in an upcoming biographical film. The grandson verified with Khan's production team that recent reports about script revisions were false. Pusalkar stated the screenplay has reached completion and filming will commence shortly. Director Rajkumar Hirani has expressed interest in collaborating on the project about Indian cinema's founding father. The descendant believes such a movie would educate audiences about Phalke's pioneering contributions to filmmaking.

Pusalkar described feeling fortunate to belong to such an influential family lineage. His mother regularly shared stories about the cinema pioneer who died in 1944, seven years before Pusalkar's birth. She maintained strict discipline while referencing the grandfather's legacy and achievements. The grandson initially resented constant comparisons but later appreciated learning about Phalke's historical significance. His mother preserved memories through both joyful and emotional recollections of the legendary figure.
